Welcome to the Jungle

The Jungle Pet Shop in the northeastern part of our great state of Colorado inspires me so much. If not for the four-hour drive to get there, I would be in this store weekly. They can be found at 29 W Victory Way, Craig, CO 81625. Parking is on the curb, and it’s usually no problem finding a parking space nearby. Their hours are Tuesday thru Friday 11-6 and Saturday 11-4. They are closed Sunday and Monday.

This place is not just an LFS, they are a plant shop, a pet shop, and a local fish store. The displays are integrated into the store, so if in doubt as to whether what you are seeing is for sale, just ask! If it’s not, I am sure they can find you one similar. The store has even more plants, supplies, animals, and goodies stuffed in than the last time I visited. See my previous blog at the bottom of this post. What’s not to love about this store? If you like the tropics, it’s likely you’ll love this LFS! It really does feel like the jungle here.

Clint has made some nice changes and has several other things he plans on doing to improve the store. He plans on concentrating more on Reptiles and Amphibians, while phasing out some of the general pet store items and expanding the LFS section of the store. The store has a nice selection of aquariums and terrariums now, which is in keeping with previous expansion plans. Another addition is a full line of Aquarium Co-op products including their new lights and Easy Green. Look up Aquarium Co-op if you are not familiar with their stuff. The other thing which I love about this LFS is Clint breeds most of the common fish he offers, and he has a wonderful selection. The best way to see what he offers is in person, the second-best way is to look though my pictures below.

Clint and associates are exceptionally friendly and helpful. I am impressed with their knowledge and creative ideas. They have everything you need to set up an aquascape including tanks, aquasoil, plants, lights, and supplies. They have neocaridina shrimp, bettas, and a nice selection of nano fish. Clint assures me they have plenty of business from the many communities in their area, though I am sure they will welcome you as they did me. While the store has a nice selection of fish, the store is not huge, so if you cannot find what you are looking for, ask them to order it for you. I really don’t have any negatives to report here. I love this store! This LFS easily makes the top ten list.
