Ray's Tank has New Tanks

Ray’s Tank in Northglen, at 10667 Melody Dr Unit 15, Northglenn, CO 80234, remains without a doubt, the best Monster Fish LFS in Colorado. When you plan your visit, the hours are 11-7 Monday – Saturday, (Closed on Tuesdays), and Sunday open 11-6. They have a new shipment of large healthy specimens of Sting Rays, and South American fish. Ray (The owner) carries both wild caught and tank raised fish, so inquire about the source of the fish if this matters to you. He says he is carrying some smaller tropical fish for the novice aquarist and plenty of other fish which are for more proficient aquarists. Amongst the newer fish they carry are African Cichlids and Angelfish. He is slowly replacing old tanks which really helps the look of the store. If you are a novice, it is always good to ask questions about what you are buying, even if you think you know. For instance, it’s good to know how big the fish gets, what food the fish is eating and how well it gets along with others.

The smell at the back of the store sort of got to me this trip. Not sure why, but I suppose that is not unusual in a fish store. The tanks appear clean and the fish healthy, though I did spot one Scat on her way out. All the comments I have seen or heard about Ray’s Tank are glowing, so I would not hesitate to get fish here. Be sure to see my photos below for an extensive tour of the store. And remember to support your local fish store (LFS).
