With my mobility waning, I’m less motivated to get out and visit LFS. With this said, I have been to every LFS in CO though it has been a while since I visited the western slope, namely Grand Junction and Craig. In the future I will rely on my readers to enlighten me to the stores I need to visit, i.e. those who have made significant changes in the past year.
Currently I am following MC Aquatics closely as they have a new store opening in the next few months in Pueblo, CO and have recently acquired Murrman’s Reef, now MC Aquatics Denver. Also, Aqua Rocks Colorado is expanding into the space next to their current location which will double their space and allow the addition of more livestock and plants making them a full service LFS. Look for their official announcement by the end of February.
There are several LFS in Colorado who’s owners are very close to retirement and so I will be on the look out for a few more store closures or management changes in the next few years. If you have any information about changes in any Colorado Local Fish Stores, please contact me and give me the scoop. Thank you in Advance.
