Pet Paradise Halloween

Pet Paradise had a Halloween celebration going on when I arrived. The parking lot was full of people and their dogs in costume. I was not there for the parade though; I was there for the fish. The atrium was all done up with ghouls and goblins not to mention the usual Koi Pond, Piranha tank, and beautiful birds. They had an impressive display of carved pumpkins too.

The fish department was decorated with spider webs and a few other “scaries”. The first room I checked out was the saltwater as I was looking for Macroalgae. They had none, but I must say the tanks were all very clean and well stocked. It is nice to visit during a store festival! Only one tank had some minor green spot algae on the glass, and as we all know, it does grow fast.

Moving on to the freshwater area, again the tanks were clean and well stocked. They had some nice fish too. Some unusual fish like archerfish and halfbeaks. Check out my photos below. I got a bit carried away with the pics, because I really am impressed with the store today. As I pointed out in my first blog about this store, the colored gravel is not to my liking, but the tanks are nicely decorated, and the glow fish tank really popped. If that’s your thing, then this place has it going on. The store serves the entire southeast part of Colorado, so they have a big selection for all pet owners, not just the aquarists. If you are ever down this way, I suggest checking them out. If you live in Pueblo, you’ve probably already done so.
