A new LFS in Cheyenne, Wyoming makes my next blog, even though it is not in Colorado it is less than 2hrs from Denver. Anyone in the aquarium hobby in southern Wyoming would already know of them as they have been advertising quite heavily on social media.
Aquastop, LLC is located on 1613 Logan Ave, Cheyenne, WY 82001. The hours vary, so call before you go. The listed hours are Monday thru Saturday, 11 AM–2:30 PM, 3–5:30 PM. They are a single proprietor business so exceptions to the list hours occur from time to time. Call at 307-214-3615.
There is parking on the street in front and in the lot in back. I arrived in the afternoon and the sun was pouring in the front window illuminating the tanks almost magically. The fish and plants were most happy in this warm light. I only observed common fish like cichlids and livebearers. The store owner said he would happily special order whatever fish he can find available. The specialty of the store is used equipment, fish and plants that go with, and tarantulas and crested geckos which come with enclosure included. The tarantulas seemed happy and healthy within nicely scaped enclosures. My impression is this is a resale store.
If you are in the area, it is well worth a stop to see what you can find. Ask about installation and maintenance, I forgot to. I get the idea though that he would happily accommodate your needs. While this LFS does not make my list, I still recommend them to any hobbyist in Cheyenne or surrounding area. A passionate hobbyist is always looking for new opportunities to shop!
