MC Aquatics Englewood, located at 11800 Oswego St Unit D60, Englewood, CO 80112 has big sales going on right now. They usually have something on sale, though as we are in the gift giving season I am sure they will have plenty of sales to the end of the year. The giant tank in the back of the store has finally found a balance. Lenny, the Mbu Puffer seems very happy and if you have not seen this setup, then I suggest visiting just for this reason.

The other thing which impresses me is the many sale tables around the product room, and they have good deals on certain fish also. The fancy aquatic plant tank is looking good as are the display tanks though they have fewer of the planted displays and more just plant storage. The table behind the plant tank was empty so I am not sure what they have or have not got going on there. The beautiful Vampire crab tank was full of plants so it appears to me they no longer carry the crabs. The Betta wall has also been replaced with new tanks which may work better than the previous setup. The fish tanks are all looking good, esp. the large cichlid display tanks.

The Saltwater room continues to mature nicely with all the tank set ups along with the display tanks looking stellar. I love the macroalgae growing in various places around the tanks which can support them. The big display aquarium on the front wall looks great too! A new maintenance board has appeared next to the small tanks in the back so I think they have found a system to keep all the tanks healthy. As you may or may not know the secret to Saltwater tanks is consistency.

Mike and Charlie had big plans starting out with many stores around the country and a central warehouse, etc. Things don’t always work out though and concession must be made. As can be seen on their website they only have this store in Englewood and the TX warehouse now, which means to me they are leaning in on the mail order/internet business and focusing on their home base. Frankly, this is a wise move and more in line with standard practice. Check out my photos below to see the many wonderful offerings they have and for previous blogs on this LFS scroll all the way to the bottom.
