InsideReef had their grand opening December 17th, 2023, located at 1820 Dominion Way, Colorado Springs, CO 80918, just off N. Academy Blvd. Their hours remain 11-6pm Monday thru Saturday, closed on Thursday, open Sunday 12-5. This recent visit shows the store is really coming along with each of 4 rows of tanks being dedicated to one category from right to left, Saltwater Fish, Saltwater Corals, Freshwater Plants, and Freshwater Fish. The freshwater side now has plants all about as well as fish integrated into each tank. I didn’t see much in the way of monster fish though they do have a nice selection of cichlids. The supplies section is still a bit sparse, though much better than last visit. They were in the process of setting up a few new tanks, so they now have several display tanks up front. Ray and Derick started out doing Installations and Maintenance and continue to do so. Be sure to ask them for what you need, they are most accommodating.
The place is coming along nicely, though they do need to expand their diversity of freshwater stock. Saltwater did not seem so lacking. This is the summer and business is slow, so I am sure they will be going all out for the fall and winter aquarium hobby season. Ray seems very knowledgeable and friendly. A person anyone would be happy doing business with. Check out my photos below for a current view of the store and if you have the chance visit, give them your support. The one thing store owners appreciate is getting to know their customers, so when you do visit, talk to them and share your needs in the aquarium marketplace. Let them serve you! This is why they are in business.
