Fish Crew at 1414 E Harmony Rd #1, Fort Collins, CO 80525, remains much the same as last time I visited about 6 months ago. The center piece ~2000g Saltwater aquarium is getting old and needs a good buffing. The stock seems lower than I remember too. It is still beautiful, just not as impressive as it once was. The rest of the store is clean, well organized, and looks great! They remain the best LFS in Northern Colorado IMHO. They have competition now on the saltwater side from Underwater Wonders, Animal Attraction, and Biggs Lagoon. Nobody really competes with them though on the planted tank side or even the freshwater side of the hobby in NO CO. Their shrimp selection along with supplies and all that goes with cannot be topped anywhere in the state. As an honorable mention, MC Aquatics has a good selection of shrimp too on the SW side of Denver Metro and Aqua Rocks Colorado in Commerce City still holds the title of best Aquascaping store in the state and probably the surrounding states as well.
If I were to list what I like about this LFS, it would start with the display tanks in the entryway and around the store, then the shrimp collection, and then the plants and aquascaping supplies. They do have a nice selection of dry goods to go with each section of the store which makes them one of the few who can claim this title. All aspects of the hobby are represented to some degree and the presentation just takes this up a notch. I would love to see them give their centerpiece tank a makeover, otherwise they are on the top of their game.
