Biggs Lagoon, located at 6050 Firestone Blvd 205, Longmont, CO 80504, remains much the same, a good thing to be sure. The open hours are as follows: Mon-Wed, Closed, Thursday 11:30am to 6pm, Friday and Saturday 11:30am to 7pm, and Sunday 11:30am to 5pm. Most of the stocking seems the same to me as well. I do like how they have their displays set up for easy viewing. The lighting however, continues to be a challenge for any photographer. The blue spectrum is stronger than I have seen in any other LFS. They did offer me a filter to use (I left mine at home by mistake) but I foolishly declined. So, my photos are limited this time around. They now have a Saturday night auction on Twitch and they report a wonderful response there. Folks will come in early on Saturday to see the stock available, bid on it that night and pick up on Sunday! Fun and Bargains for all.

As with most of the Saltwater only LFS, their main business is with installation and maintenance. While they do have pretty fish, they are obviously coral focused. The invert rack was looking good with starfish, and snails available. It seems to me they had about the same amount of product on the shelves as in the past. Frankly, the store looks great, it is clean, well stocked, and ready for business! This LFS ranks somewhere in the upper half of Colorado saltwater LFS for me. If I lived in Northern Colorado, I would definitely shop here, though I must say there are 3 other LFS’s in the area with saltwater stock which gives them some serious competition. Speaking of other Saltwater stores, there is a new Coral Show, Colorado Coral Con 2025 next weekend in Lafayette. Be sure to check them out, as the community needs to support one another.
