April 16th Update: Be aware that what you buy from this store is "as is, no refund". I made this mistake, twice now, LOL. The fish I got a few weeks ago died within days and I just got some Yellow Sno, didn't realize it was out of date and it had spoiled. So, if you are getting dry goods, check the expiration date and just inspect everything you get from Aquamart!!! I officially consider them out of business and am removing them from my list of LFS.
After giving it a good go Aquamart on 3225 S Wadsworth Blvd Unit E, Lakewood, CO 80227, is closing its doors at the end of the month. Specifically I was told the 29th by the manager, Gordon. Jeff Harris is the store owner who took it over in 2013 and built it to what it is today. Several buyers were in the works but the sale fell through, so thus the selling off of stock. The pics below show the systems for sale and the prices. All corals are 50% off and the fish and rest of the store will be available at a discount later this month. It will be sad to see this store go. The Business world is getting very tight these days and we can see this demonstrated with the number of LFS closing their doors. See my list of Every LFS in CO, for all the stores to close in the past 5 years. We as hobbyists can only do so much to support our LFS. With online and Big Box store competition I salute those LFS who are making things work. I will continue to do my best to support these stores which have brought me so much joy over the years.
