It’s been too long since we last visited. The LFS are in cruise control this time of year. Memorial Day marks the beginning of the summer season and that means slower business for the fish stores. Folks are out and about, so things in the fish store settle down a bit.
Some LFS are still kill’n it though, and Aqua Rocks Colorado is one of them. They are stocked to the gills! If you need anything for the aquarium, they can probably help you out. No longer do they only cater to the aquascaper. Aqua Rocks the fish now and a nice selection too. They have the best selection of high-end guppies of any LFS in the state! My photos below are mainly focused on the fish they offer. I would also like to point out the awesome selection of plants and hardscape. Some of the rocks they offer I have never even heard of before and I’ve been a rockhound for years.
They have rock and wood for the large tank also and I do mean large! My hand is 8” long so as you will see in the photo below, the rocks are big! The last photo is an example of the awesome substrate they offer. They sell gravel and sand in bulk too if you’re looking for something special. Did you know they refill CO2 tanks? Getting back to the fish, the prices are right in line or less then most other LFS. Same goes for the plants. The pricey plants are expensive because they are rare and hard to find. The value for your $ here meets or exceeds any of the other LFS in CO. Oh darn, now you’ll have to visit!
