Aqua Rocks Colorado Expands

Aqua Rocks Colorado - Aqua Scape Warehouse has recently expanded and now has twice the space. The location is just next door to where they were so it will be easy to find. Well, sort of. Now days with cellphone maps and such it is easy. They are in an industrial park off I-70 near I-270 in Commerce City. I had fun today navigating around all the trucks in the area, NOT. This is the first time this has been an issue, but it’s something to be aware of. Their logo sign is above the door. If you don’t like shopping in a warehouse and if you don’t like Asian products, then maybe this is not the place for you. IMO, their products are better than the other LFS, so don’t be afraid to check them out. I have gotten all my tanks & lights here. The co2 system I purchased from them is doing great and it was less expensive than the one I got online. They now offer co2 tank refilling! Pricing is very competitive, though there are some items which are more costly than others when compared to what you can get elsewhere. I will just say the lights are as good as anything you can get anywhere, so the price remains a bargain.

While I am sharing stories of their products, I recently had a less than stellar experience with one of their cheaper lights. Ok, it was the cheapest thing they had. It did not work for me. The colors were off and did not flatter the tank like it should. It did however grow plants well… and algae too. Needless to say, Tommy (the owner) made it right!

Entering the store brings you into their showroom and office. To the left is the entry to the warehouse. The first thing you find are aquarium supplies including lots of aquascaping items. They have now expanded to carry fish and all the supplies one would need to setup a tank. They have a big order of fish coming at the end of the month. If you are in the market for driftwood or aquarium rock, this is your place! They have just about any type you can think of. I lost count at 15 for both the wood and the rock. The rimless tanks are well made with thick ultra-clear glass and are made for aquascaping, but do just as well for simple fish keeping. See my photos below to get an idea of what you will find when you visit. The webpage is linked above, and their site is very good. Check it out for an idea of what they offer. This LFS has just jumped into my best freshwater LFS list in addition to its being the best aquascaping LFS in west.

Speaking of aquascaping they have pro aquascaper Steven Chong, with a worldwide ranking and a 2nd place entry in 2020, giving a workshop April 27th, 11am. For more details see the Aqua Rocks Facebook page. It may be sold out already, just so you know. See his bio here. If you need any help with setting up an awesome aquascape, just go to this store and chat Tommy up. He is always happy to help customers.
