Animal Attraction in Greeley is in a market all by itself. Located at 2518 11th Ave, Greeley, CO 80631, their hours are 9a – 7p Tuesday thru Friday, Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 11-6. They are closed on Mondays. An hour ride from Denver and over 30 minutes from Ft Collins this LFS sits alone which explains why they serve every aspect of the aquarium hobby. They also carry reptiles, specializing in lizards. I love visiting this store because it is almost like going to a zoo. Their display tanks are awesome! They even have a pond in the store. My pictures do not do the store justice. A visit in person is required to truly appreciate this place.
I was surprised by the number of aquariums they had on hand, more than most LFS’s I have visited. They even had a nice selection of aquatic plants along with aquascaping supplies. Like I said they serve all areas, so they don’t really have a specialty. They do all areas very well! It doesn’t matter whether you are into Saltwater or Fresh they have an excellent selection of livestock for both. They will also work with you to obtain whatever it is you seek for your next tank build.
If I had a gripe about this store, it is their prices are slightly higher, which can be explained by their location and quality. All the fish looked healthy and active. The store is well kept, and the tanks are clean. I love how the display tanks are raised to eye level or above. They had a pico tank on the checkout counter which I found extremely cute (last pic in gallery below). The other thing I like about this store is how friendly the staff is. They are always happy to talk “shop” with me. Even if you don’t live nearby, Animal Attraction is a must for any LFS crawl to Northern Colorado.
