About Fish Remodeled

About Fish continues to be the go-to LFS for anyone in the northern half of the Denver Metro. On my visit today they did not disappoint. The wall opposite the Check Out has been completely redone and it looks fabulous. As do the fish. I even took a few home. Their plan for updating the store moves steadily forward. From what I hear, necessity facilitated the rebuilding of the wall after a pipe leak. If you have ever been in the store, you know it is laid out with aisles on either side and the counter with products in the middle. It is the south side or to the right coming in which has been redone. In the process of this work, they no longer carry saltwater fish or inverts. So, the store is strictly freshwater now. The section in the back, opposite the south wall has 9 large tanks with plants. In the past they just put the plants wherever they had space, so this is a nice feature to have them all in one place. There is a large wall of Betta fish in this corner also.

On the north aisle behind the plants the section with Cichlids will be the next section redone. I suppose the point to all this is they are keeping the place well maintained. The fish look great as usual and there are a lot of fish! The name of the store fits very well. I admire a store which focuses on one thing and does it better than anyone else. This store truly is all about fish. They are located at 7236 N Federal Blvd # 700, Westminster, CO 80030 and are open 10-6 Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, 10-8 Wednesday& Thursday, and 11-5 Sunday. Check out their website for details and follow them on Facebook for weekly deals and lists.

While the store is difficult to browse when they are busy and can get a bit claustrophobic at times, I still love looking in every tank and seeing the beautiful fish they have. If you are looking for anything specific, I suggest speaking with one of their associates as the placement of fish changes as need and availability arise. At the front desk they have all their supplies, rock, and driftwood. They now have live brine shrimp available weekly for $5 a bag. First come first served! Cichlids are still their specialty, though they carry a wide selection of freshwater fish. As per usual, I highly recommend this LFS.
